Meet Our Uniforms

The uniforms have been and are a hallmark of the company and a link with fashion. Our aircraft have served as an international showcase for great designers. At Espacio Iberia you can see and try on all the uniforms from our history.

Unknown Designer
1946
Properly military style, white for summer and navy blue for winter. It was made of strong parachute cloth. It consisted of a saharan jacket with a belt and four bellows pockets.

Pedro Rodríguez
1954
The coat was introduced, navy blue, with bellows and large gold buttons. Over time, the bellows were removed, and the golden buttons were replaced by others of the same color as the coat. The uniform was the classic suit jacket, also navy blue and with gold buttons.

1968

Manuel Pertegaz
1968
Pertegaz completely revolutionized the image of Iberia hostesses. Finally blue was banished, giving way to a triumphant burgundy. Pertegaz designed a dress with a certain Andalusian air. This collection of uniforms received the name of Rosa Real, the same name given to the service that began that same year with the Douglas DC-8/63 over the North Atlantic.

1972

1972

Elio Berhanyer
1972
Elio decided to rescue the flagship color of Iberia: blue. The company was no longer looking for a revolutionary and avant-garde uniform, but something more traditional that would survive the passing of the years. In addition, the company wanted its uniforms to fit in any country and at any season and time of the year.

Elio Berhanyer
1977
The image of Iberia in the flight attendants impressed with a new color: toasted beige. Elio once again opted for a traditional and elegant color at the same time. Timeless and easy to wear in any corner of the world and in any season of the year.

1983

Elio Berhanyer
1983
Once again, the blue color was king again, yes, a totally innovative blue, nothing to do with the respectful navy blue of yesteryear. It was a radiant Canary blue, combined with red and yellow, a 100% Spanish mix.
19871987
1987

1987

Alfredo Caral
1987
The combination of ultramarine blue with Iberia’s corporate colours, reds and ochres, marked their designs. Another small but important novelty: all the uniforms had the name and position of the person in a visible place.

Adolfo Domínguez

Adolfo Domínguez once again gives the prominence to blue – this time, night blue – combined with mustard and red corporate colors, an absolutely forceful, functional and beautiful style.

The Catalan designer creates a proposal with elegant and comfortable garments where blue, red, yellow and ecru tones predominate.
